And Then There Were Six: RENEWPR Team Expansion Continues
One of the reasons I founded RENEWPR was my interest in working with good people on good things. Nowhere is that truer than with the RENEWPR Team, the group of experienced, independent communications professionals I partner with to help clients across the country and across the world. It’s a fantastic collection of smart, funny, creative and wildly talented people and I’m thankful every day for the opportunity to work with them.
So, it’s very exciting to be adding to our Team once again (see our May 2020 post for news on our last addition, Darren Goode). My friend and former FH colleague Jessica Lass is the newest member of the RENEWPR Team and will bring her nearly 20 years of experience “working with government, corporate, tech start-up, and non-profit clients” to the RENEWPR Team. Jessica is an accomplished PR professional with experience at agencies, non-profits and foundations in her portfolio. She’s launched brands, served as spokesperson for an environmental NGO and a foundation and responded to crises and related communications challenges. Frankly, we’re lucky to have the opportunity to work with her.
I first met Jessica more than a dozen years ago in the DC office of FleishmanHillard and I’ve had the pleasure of being her colleague in multiple settings over the years. I’m thrilled that we’ll be working together again. Here’s what she shared on joining the Team: “I’ve spent my career working with clean energy and climate champions and I’m honored to have the opportunity to join the brain trust Ben has been cultivating at RENEWPR for more than six years. It’s a talented group of professionals from a variety of backgrounds and I’m excited to contribute to what they’ve built.”
Jessica is the third member of the RENEWPR Team from the Bay Area (along with Lowen Baumgarten and the aforementioned Darren Goode), making the region a second hub for RENEWPR. Our other Team members are Jayne Brady in the Northeast, Steve Kauffman in Chicago and Annette Larkin in the DC area. It’s a truly national team. In the past, Team members have collaborated with and on behalf of RENEWPR clients including 24/7 Solar, CEO Climate Dialogue, Family Equality, Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure, Itron and the National Wildlife Federation.
Each of our Team members is an independent professional with a range of clients. They are also committed to working with RENEWPR on a wide variety of clients and projects in addition to their other work. In fact, RENEWPR Team members are currently working with me on clients including Bluesource, Conservation Lands Foundation and DSM North America.
Jessica and I are already talking about potential client opportunities and I’m looking forward to collaborating with her again soon. If you’d like to know more about working with Jessica and/or anyone on the Team, please comment below or get in touch and we’ll follow-up. In the meantime, please join me in saying “Welcome” to Jessica!
