It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for business planning
Every year at this time, I try to set aside a few days for future business planning. This effort includes everything from organizing tax and accounting information to finalizing my business projections for the coming year and thinking about new resources and other business needs. It’s also when I develop new ideas for marketing or other activities for the firm. The relative “quiet” of the time between Christmas and New Years Day is really helpful for this kind of introspection and planning.
This year, I’ve done a good bit of the necessary organizational work. And I’ve finalized updates and developed several new initiatives and announcements to be launched in 2018. Here’s a preview:
We’ll announce a new collaboration partner early next year. With this announcement, we’ll highlight a new focus on cleantech and b2b marketing.
We’ll debut a new promotional effort on behalf of our Network Partners, including a sharper focus on ways we work together on behalf of clients.
We’ll expand our Bench program next year to include a few more communications experts who can help us work with our growing client list.
We’ll highlight several new speaking opportunities I’ll be undertaking in 2018, including one at an invitation-only conference focused on western energy and environment issues.
We’ll launch a new blog Q&A series here – the Common Sense Colloquy – featuring brief chats with clients, former clients, colleagues and friends about relevant communications issues and challenges.
Oh, and we’ll celebrate our Third Anniversary too! Wow, time flies when you’re having fun. Stay tuned for updates on ways we’ll mark our celebration in the weeks ahead.
